Carlton Holmes

CARLTON HOLMES is currently piano and keyboard player for Grammy award
vocalist REGINA BELLE. Carlton has recently completed a 4th CD  recording with HIGHNOTE recording artist CARLOS GARNETT and is featured on the HIGHNOTE recording of CINDY BLACKMAN ' Works On Canvas '. Touring extensively in EUROPE and ASIA with BLUE NOTE recording artist TERUMASA HINO and MUSE recording artist MICHAEL CARVIN, Carlton is an international perfomer.
    
An active and contributing jazz artist, Carlton has performed and recorded with RAY BROWN, FREDDIE HUBBARD, MAX ROACH, DONALD BYRD, LIONEL HAMPTON, DIZZY GILLESPIE and KENNY GARRETT.

As a programmer and synthesist, Carlton has worked with artists STEVIE WONDER, DIANE REEVES, RAVI COLTRANE and CINDY BLACKMAN, and has recently completed composing the music for the NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO show " Sisters and Friends " to began Broadcasting nationally in December, 2001. In addition, Carlton arranged and performed the music For the ABC Television Christmas Special, MARTHA STEWART'S HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS. These days, Carlton is composing and rehearsing for his forthcoming trio recording. Concurrently he is arranging and recording with vocalist CYNTHIA SAUNDERS in a forthcoming project to be produced with JON LUCIEN.  In addition, he is composing and in pre-production for the forthcoming film of GINGER'S RISE by ABDULLAH ABUKUSUMO.  Carlton maintains his own recording studio and is actively involved in arranging and songwriting.
    
Carlton is also active as an educator of piano, music theory and
keyboards.  He maintains correspondence with over 25 students of all ages and
levels.
