This was as much fun to make as it is to hear. Over the course of five days in mid-July, dozens of musicians wandered in and out of Second Act Studio in Irvington, NY to record the tracks.

Some artists came with a song they wanted to perform. Others helped make up arrangements on the spot – grabbing the musicians who were there at the time. Some overdubs were added after the fact, but the majority of what you hear came from those original sessions. In every case, you can hear the joy in the tracks.

As Lisa Lynne Mathis puts it, she “sings until she sees better… I will give all I have to what sometimes looks like a mainstream singer/songwriter and at other times looks like a music ministry and I will merge it all together to pursue a career putting forth the “songs of real life.” I hope to touch someone’s heart in a new way, a meaningful way, an authentic way, and to be a voice of a generation which longs to lead our nation one day to a new place of integrity and depth…”
